I'm a 28/29 waist but I got a medium - I think a small would have fit me, but I like the extra room from the medium! It's so so cute and I love the pockets on the side! I think the elastic on the shorts is maybe a little too tight, I am a person with bigger thighs, but it's not painful or anything
